The Beautiful Streets of Tsumago-juku

I climbed the beautiful Mt. Ena, lush with fresh greenery, but there was hardly any view during the climb. The summit and its shape were obscured by trees, so I never really got to see what kind of mountain I was climbing.

My Tottori Trip!

It seems like the number of tourists has dropped quite a bit... Tottori is a place I visit every few years, partly because it's where my grandfather had ties. Similar to other regions, the shopping street in front of the station has turned into a "shutter street," which makes me feel a bit sad.

An unfamiliar sight! On my way to the Tokyo National Museum, I saw a crowd around Saigo Takamori's statue, and with Japanese drums set up, I thought maybe a festival was happening. When I took a peek, Saigo Takamori's bronze statue was in an outfit I'd never seen before – dressed in Montsuki Hakama!
