Hotel Laundry Discoveries!
So, I was walking from the elevator hall to my room at the hotel, and I spotted a door labeled “Laundry.” Curiosity got the best of me, so I popped in, and guess what I found? It’s not a coin laundromat anymore—you pay by card! Seriously, that just makes so much sense, doesn’t it? The last time I used a laundromat in Japan was at a hotel, and it was still “coins.” But then again, hotel facilities are often a bit dated, so maybe card payments are already common in other places in Japan?
In the US, tipping is still pretty standard in many places. You can usually add a tip amount yourself and pay by card at restaurants, but there are still those occasional moments where you need to hand a cash tip to porters or drivers. But honestly, I think the cashless trend is just unstoppable, don’t you?
